Below is further detailed information on how we authenticate the items sent to Bags for Breakfast. Being transparent and promising the authenticity of our items will always be our number one priority and we want to ensure that everyone who shops at Bags for Breakfast has a clear understanding of the process of each bag that comes through our door. 

As soon as we receive the item, it goes through a meticulous multi-step inspection process. If at any step of the process there is a shadow  of a doubt on any of the elements of the bag then it will be rejected as authentic. There are only two categories a bag can fall under, either authentic, or not. There is no grey “maybe” section.  If a bag is deemed inauthentic, it will not be sold. 

Upon receiving your item, Bags for Breakfast will begin the authentication process.  The inspection of each item includes the following:

1. Your item will go through a secondary appraisal regarding its condition. If the condition does not uphold our acceptable standards, then we will unfortunately send your bag back to you. It is important to provide us with  full disclosure on the condition of your handbag to avoid this. In this initial evaluation of the condition, we also pay attention to authenticating the item. An inauthentic item typically reveals itself as such very quickly.
2. Your item will then go through every step of the authentication process. Each element of the bag is closely examined by our in-house expertly trained eyes.  We also value peer review. At Bags for Breakfast we have an extensive and trusted network of professional authenticators. We are human, so sometimes  giving  the item a second look from fresh eyes is something we believe is important to make sure no detail was spared. 
3. Your item will also be examined through professional third party authentication tools. Bags for Breakfast uses Entrupy, an LVMH backed tool. This final verification is to add an extra layer of trust for our clients. It is common to ask for an official certificate of authenticity that the AI tool provides. We are happy to give you a certificate of authenticity upon request.
