Is the Tiffany Landmark Party Fashion any Indication of what we will see at the Met Gala? Met Gala Magic Day 3 | Bags for Breakfast

Is the Tiffany Landmark Party Fashion any Indication of what we will see at the Met Gala? Met Gala Magic Day 3 | Bags for Breakfast

Today is Day 3 of my Met Gala Magic series and if you are just as obsessed with the Met Gala and surrounding festivities as I am, then this is for you! Everyday leading up to the Met Gala I am writing an article covering absolutely everything you need to know about the event. You can also read Day 1 and Day 2 if you are as invested in the Met Gala like I am.

Like I mentioned in my previous article, I believe everything that goes on in and around the week leading up to the Met Gala is a pre-cursor for the big first Monday of May, and last night was the big Tiffany & Co Landmark boutique reopening in New York after it has been completely refurbished.

This is significant to the Met Gala because most of the celebrities who gathered a the Tiffany's reopening will also be attending the Met. Since the Gala is now only 4 days away, all the attendees are starting to trickle into the city, along with their outfits for fittings and reveals, because most do not get to see the finished gown they will be wearing up until days before.

With the Tiffany reopening, I cannot help but think that what celebrities wore will be some indication of what they will be wearing to the Met Gala. Let's get into it.

Before I talk about the outfits, and even some bag spotings, let's talk just a little bit about the actual event and the Landmark. With 186 years of history, the Tiffany's boutique is much more than just a jewelry store, but truly an experience where you can see pieces of Tiffany history.

With an astounding 10 floors, where at the event each floor represented a different stone/collection, there is no shortage of beautiful things to see. The entrance features a refurbished Atlas clock on a impressive 9 foot statue of a Greek god bearing the clock stretched upwards to the diamond shaped skylight in honour of the original design by Charles Lewis Tiffany on his very first storefront. Fabulous. And to top it all off, on the tenth floor there is a glass lined penthouse!

On the sixth floor you can imagine yourself in your own Breakfast at Tiffany's moment at their Blue Box Cafe - or a perfect spot to have your own very a la Bags for Breakfast moment as well! If this wasn't enough for you, they have the actual little black evening gown, gloves and pearl necklace Audrey Hepburn wore on display, along with pieces of the original manuscript and a soundscape of Moon River for a real immersive and touching experience. This is just one of the elements that Tiffany has added to make your experience in the boutique truly magical and memorable experience.

Now let's immerse ourselves in what guests wore, that I believe will tie into the Met Gala!

Blake Lively wore a dark chocolate brown leather jumpsuit dress situation, very fun and playful paired with outstanding jewelry. She is the only one who I feel her look for the Tiffany event is actually not a hint to her Met look. This Virgo gal is definitely keeping her look under complete wraps and she will of course wow us all! She was actually very close with Karl and I think her looks will be both sentimental and a very close and well rounded representation of everything Karl created.

Florence Pugh wore a sweeping almost pastel pistachio coloured off the shoulder gown that was playful and elegant. It had almost a veiled train, and I hope that this prefaces that she will incorporate some kind of veiled look for the Met! Could it be my predictions from my previous article are being brought to life!! I'm considering that she will likely be dressed by Valentino, and I predict that her Tiffany Landmark looks hints that her Met Gala look will take inspiration from Karl's Fendi designs to pay tribute. By the way she paired this with an absolutely gorgeous Valentino bag and I love her as the new Valentino ambassador!

Gal Gadot wore a beautiful black velvet evening gown, that was structured to accentuates the waist froward with interesting preportions and pockets believe it or not, with a very Chanel-esque hemline!!! If my theory passes I believe this look is a preface to a grander gown that plays with preportions exaggerated even further, taking inspiration from how Karl reimagined the classic Chanel silhouettes and created unique illusions in the suits like broader shoulder to create a smaller waistline look.

Anya Taylor Joy was wearing a striking red number, which was very structured had gorgeous feather detailing. The dress featured a kind of balero style shoulder and the hips are also accentuated in an interesting way, I think this will be a big recurring theme designers will replicate and exaggerate in the looks we will be seeing as we have already seen a glimpse of this a couple times at this event.

Hailey Bieber Met Gala looks are always form fitting, classic, pink, black, white, and I don't think this year will be any different. To the Tiffany reopening she wore some pearled jewelry, her hair was pulled back in a slick little bun with a thin black bow. In my opinion this is absolutely giving me hints of her vibe for Monday and indicating that her looks for the Met will be very coquette, feminine, soft, something black and white with pearls. And by the way the hem of her dress is sooo Chanel so I'm pretty confident that she will do a classic Chanel look!

Nicola Peltz dress was again with that unique hemline that is very much in the Chanel-esque realm. Her dress featured three flowered bow detailing on one side, and I think this is the element that will be recreated in a Met look for her. The length of the sleeves is also I feel a major hint to a Chanel vibe and I think I can predict that these flowers will become camellias.

Barbara Palvin looked beautiful for the Tiffany reopening in a refreshing bright green silk dress and for me this is a definite indication that she will be attending the Met in Fendi. Along with her gown she accessorized with a cute little Fendi peekaboo which is another hint to me that this will be her look. I predict she will carry on wearing a bright colour on Monday, although instead of a form fitting silk slip, I think she'll go with a fuller silhouette.

This wraps up my take on how what guests wore to the Tiffany event will be some kind of indication of what may be seen at the Met Gala! I would love to know in the comments if you think the elements I have highlighted above will be the bud of inspiration what's to come!
