Welcome to Bags for Breakfast

Happy Monday loves, it's a new week and I'm so excited to be posting consistent blogs. I have so many new people reading and watching my content so I want to introduce my brand in a blog and give a glimpse into all the exciting things that I have in store. Which by the way, it is so much fun to see on google analytics the map that highlights every country that has engaged with your website, my goal is to have the entire map lit up! So with this goals in mind, I wanted to give a little overview of the story of my brand, what you can expect from Bags for Breakfast, and my hopes and vision for its future.

Bags for Breakfast is a founder-led, direct-to-consumer luxury handbag reseller. I specialize in Hermes and Chanel, in pre-loved mint condition handbags, usually still brand new in box. I do house other brands such as Dior and Goyard, on occasion, but only if in mint condition. Naturally as a handbag lover, my idea for Bags for Breakfast began while I was in France, the home of all my favourite boutiques. I was shopping and made my rounds through the designer stores like usual. But something just felt different, for some reason I was so disenchanted by my experience. They were all packed full of people and there were lines and it felt like people were fighting for a bag, the SA's were overwhelmed, it was really chaotic.

I kind of just thought to myself, I'm in a luxury boutique, but this does not feel like luxury. I felt like my eyes were opened to a different perspective.

I walked out, and continued my shopping day, but I was left wondering, what if I can create a boutique exclusively for handbags, where you can shop your favourite designer handbags and no one feels this overwhelmed process involved in shopping luxury?

Soon after on my shopping trip, I stumbled upon a consignment store which caught my eye because it had a Chanel and a mini Evelyne in the window. The boutique was empty and and so I went in, and had the absolute best time! There was no pressure of thinking strategically about what to purchase in order to further myself in getting a bag, and not feeling like it was a competition against all the other people standing in the lines back at the boutique.

The best part of all was connecting with the owner of the boutique and chatting for a very long time over things we love! It was such a wonderful experience and my mind was made, I wanted to duplicate that feeling and experience myself, for others. I went on with my purchases and installed myself at a terrasse to have a late french breakfast, and started imagining the possibilities for my business. I called my best friend to gush all about my morning, and that's when I gasped out loud and the name Bags for Breakfast literally just fell into my head, and it was so perfect, I decided that that was the name right then and there.

The purpose of Bags for Breakfast is not about skipping the pre-spend process, or not having to wait to be offered a bag, while those are some perks of shopping resale, my purpose and goal is simply helping people seamlessly get exactly what they love. I want Bags for Breakfast to serve the current and future generations of fashion lovers and handbag collectors. With the problem of high demand for a very low supply, I want to strive to be amongst the boutiques with the largest inventory of ultra luxury handbags in the world, reselling to an ever-growing community of handbag lovers from all over the globe. Community is at the core of my business, it is what I value the most and makes me so happy to interact with others in this handbag lover community everyday. It is with these customer relationships, that I know Bags for Breakfast will succeed.
